Questions about Hoover
Answered from its licence, Fontshare and each app’s own font list
Is Hoover free for commercial use?
Yes. Hoover is under the ITF Free Font License 2.0 , which allows commercial use, logos you can register as trademarks and your own websites and apps. But its files may not be changed, not even subset, nor passed outside your organisation.
How do I download and install Hoover?
FontKind doesn’t host Hoover’s files: it comes free from Fontshare , Indian Type Foundry’s library, and only from there. Download it from its page there and unzip the file. On Windows or a Mac, double-click each font file and choose Install, then restart any app that was open.
Is Hoover in Microsoft Word?
Not until you install it: Hoover isn’t one of Microsoft 365’s cloud fonts. Installed, it is in Word’s font menu and PowerPoint’s. On Windows, its weights beyond Regular and Bold show as fonts of their own, such as Hoover Thin and Hoover Medium. For someone who hasn’t installed it, save it as a PDF, which carries the font with it.
Is Hoover in Google Docs?
Probably not: the More fonts list in Docs draws on Google Fonts, and Hoover comes from Fontshare. Docs can’t add a font of your own, so set it in an app on your computer, such as Word, instead.
Is Hoover in Figma?
Not built in: Figma includes Google Fonts, and Hoover comes from Fontshare. Install it on your computer and Figma lists it.
How many weights does Hoover have?
Hoover comes in five weights: Thin (100), Light (300), Regular (400), Medium (500) and Bold (700).
What fonts are similar to Hoover?
The closest in our letter-by-letter match are Graduate (100), Kelly Slab (63) and Tourney (60), out of 100. Next to Hoover, Graduate is 34% wider and 16% lighter, with an x-height 39% taller. See all 100 fonts like Hoover.
