Information and tools about free fonts: measurements, similar fonts, comparisons, games and practice sheets. The site is free to use. We may change or remove any part of it.

The fonts belong to their designers and foundries and come under their own licences, such as the SIL Open Font License, the Apache License or Fontshare’s licence. FontKind does not sell or license fonts. To show some open fonts, it serves its own copy of their web fonts, as their licences allow, with each one’s licence file beside them.

What we say about a licence is a summary to help you choose, not legal advice. The licence that comes with a font is what counts: read it before you rely on it.

Font names are trademarks of their owners. Naming or comparing a font does not mean its owner endorses FontKind, or that we are connected with them.

Measurements, scores and similar fonts are worked out by software from the font files, and they can be wrong. A font shown as similar looks alike; that is not a claim that one was copied from the other.

Keep your password to yourself: what is done with your account is your responsibility. We may suspend or close an account used to abuse the site.

Do not disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, get around its limits, or use it for anything unlawful.

Practice sheets you make are yours to print and share, at home or in class. Images of fonts stay subject to the fonts’ own licences.

The site’s text, design, code and data belong to FontKind. You may quote them with a link to the page.

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. As far as the law allows, FontKind is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

We may update these terms; the date above shows when. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
