How to use your signature
01
Choose Transparent and download the PNG: it holds only the ink. In Word, choose Insert, then Pictures, and pick the file.
To lay it over the signature line, click the picture, open Layout Options and choose In Front of Text, then drag it into place and size it by a corner.
02
Choose Insert, then Image, then Upload from computer, and pick the PNG. Click the image and choose In front of text in the bar under it, so it moves freely over the line.
03
Most PDF signing tools take an image as your signature. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, open Fill & Sign, add a signature and choose Image, then pick the PNG. In other tools, look for Upload or Image where you make your signature.
04
Download the SVG: the signature comes welded into one shape, swash and all, to cut in vinyl for a mug, a frame or a sign. In Cricut Design Space choose Upload, then Upload Image, and open the file.
05
A picture of your name is not, by itself, a legal electronic signature. What makes one hold is that you meant to sign, and a record of who signed what and when, which signing services keep. Some papers still need a signature in ink, or one a notary or a signing service vouches for.
When it matters, ask whoever needs your signature what they accept. This page is not legal advice.
06
Your name stays in your browser as you type: it signs it in the fonts you pick, from our own copies of them, and makes the PNG itself. It is not stored and not put in any address, and on this page it lasts only while the tab is open. Only Download SVG sends it to our own server, which draws its outlines to cut, sends them back and keeps nothing, not even in a log. Downloads are counted by font, never by name.
Your name never goes to Google Fonts: the fonts come from our own address, and for letters beyond them the page loads a whole font from Google, which shows Google the font, never your name. The PNG, the SVG and their file names are made on your device.

Every font here is free under an open licence, the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0: sign letters, invoices and contracts with it, at work too. To share or change the font files themselves, read the licence on the font’s page.
