Roblox font

The Roblox logo is the company’s own lettering, redrawn in 2022 around its tilted square O. The app is set in Builder Sans, a typeface Roblox had made, in use since 2024: you can use it free in what you make on Roblox, and only there. For your words anywhere else, these free fonts have the logo’s heavy, geometric capitals.

02 / The lettering, and your questions

01

What font does Roblox use?

The logo was refreshed in August 2022 with new custom letters, lighter than before: its tilted square O was refined, and the second O became a plain letter again. Source: Roblox: Our Refreshed Logo

Builder Sans, with Builder Extended and Builder Mono, was announced in March 2024 as the font of the Roblox app, website and Creator Hub, replacing Gotham and Arial. The foundry Colophon designed it for Roblox. Source: Roblox Developer Forum , Fonts In Use: Builder Sans

Its licence allows it only in what people make on Roblox, and in digital promotions of those creations elsewhere. Source: Builder font licence

02

Is the Roblox font free?

On Roblox, yes: Builder Sans is in Roblox Studio, and its licence lets you use it in your experiences, thumbnails and avatar items, and to promote them. Anywhere else, no, and the logo is lettering, not a font. The fonts on this page are free, free for commercial use too, under open licences.

03

How do I use these fonts in Canva?

Search Canva’s font menu for the font’s name: Canva publishes no list of its fonts, so the menu is the only way to know. If it isn’t there, Canva Pro and Teams can upload a font file: get it from the font’s page here.

On the free plan, make a PNG of your words in the font generator and upload it as an image.

04

And in Cricut Design Space?

Install the font on your computer from its page here: Design Space lists the fonts on your computer as system fonts. Or type your words in the font generator and download the SVG: its letters come welded, to cut in one piece. More in Cricut fonts.

05

Can I use them on things I sell?

The fonts, yes: every font on this page is under an open licence that allows commercial use, on shirts, signs, cards and logos. But Roblox and its logo are someone else’s trademarks: a design that copies the logo or uses the name can still need the owner’s permission. This is a plain answer, not legal advice.
