Wedding fonts, answered

What font is best for wedding invitations?
Two that work together: a formal script for your names, and a serif for the date, time and place, which guests read small. Tangerine and Parisienne are the most used fancy scripts here, Playfair Display the most used serif. The pointed pen’s thick and thin shows as contrast: the o of Pinyon Script is 5.2 times as thick at its sides as at its top.
Can I use these fonts on invitations I sell?
Yes. Their licences allow commercial use, so printed invitations, place cards and signs for clients are fine: all 21 come under the SIL Open Font License. Only the font files themselves may not be sold on their own.
Which wedding fonts are in Google Docs?
All 21, most likely, as Google Fonts families: choose More fonts in Docs’ font menu and search for the name.
Can I use these wedding fonts in Canva?
We can’t tell you which of them Canva has: it publishes no list of its fonts, so search its font menu for the name. To bring in one it lacks, Canva’s help explains uploading a font.
How do I make a wedding monogram?
With the monogram maker: it sets up to three initials, the shared last name’s larger in the middle, in script, serif and Old English fonts, and saves the monogram as a PNG with a transparent background.
Which wedding script is easiest to read?
Taller lowercase letters read more easily, and scripts differ a lot: Aguafina Script’s x-height is 45.5% of the em, Tangerine’s only 25.5%. Keep any script to names and short lines, and the details in the serif.
