Cursive capital H is two slanted stems, the first with a wavy hook on top, tied by a loop that becomes the crossbar and runs on.

- 1Start with a small wavy hook at the top left and slant the first stem down to the baseline.
- 2Lift, and slant the second stem down from the top line on the right.
- 3Go back up the second stem to the middle and loop to the left, as far as the first stem.
- 4Come back across the second stem: that stroke is the crossbar, and it runs on into the next letter.
- Where it joins
- H joins from the end of its crossbar, at the midline, so the next letter starts high: Hana, Houston.
- Mixed up with
Print H’s flat bar becomes a loop and its square corners are gone. K starts with the same hooked stem.
