Cursive capital X is a hooked stroke that comes down to the baseline and joins the next letter, crossed by one straight slant.

- 1Start with a small hook at the top left and bring the stroke down to the baseline.
- 2Swing out along the baseline into the next letter.
- 3Lift, and cross it with a straight slant from the top line on the right down to the baseline on the left.

- The first stroke ends on the baseline and joins; the slant is added afterwards, as for small x: Xavier.
- Mixed up with
The two strokes cross once, in the middle. Print X is two straight slants; in cursive only the second one is straight.
