Stroke order
  1. 1Begin with the hook and the round cup of U, from the top left down to the baseline.
  2. 2Climb to the top line on the right.
  3. 3Slant straight down through the baseline to the descender line.
  4. 4Loop back to the left, cross at the baseline, and curve out into the next letter.

Y joins: its loop crosses at the baseline and runs on, as in Yuki and York.
