Cursive x
Cursive x is a small hill that slants down to the baseline, crossed by a second stroke once the word is written.
x
- axa
After a, from the baseline
- oxa
After o, from the midline
- Stroke order
- 1Start with a small hill at the midline and slant straight down to the baseline.
- 2Curve out to the right without lifting the pen.
- 3Once the word is finished, cross it with a straight slant from the midline down to the left.
- Where it joins
- The first stroke joins on both sides, so letters run through x; the crossing stroke is added at the end, like the cross of t. Few English words start with x: it comes far more often at the end of one, as in “box” and “fox”.
