03 / Questions

Bubble l, answered

A 3D bubble letter is its outline drawn twice, the copy a little down and to the right, the corners joined.

Where does the depth go on a 3D bubble l?

A 3D l needs a strip on its right and a curve under its foot.

How do I stop a bubble l being read as an I?

Make it taller than the capitals, as Modak and Titan One do by about a tenth, or end it with a rightward kick at the foot.

How do you colour a bubble l?

One long stroke from top to foot fills it; stripes across work too.
