03 / Questions
Bubble r, answered
A 3D bubble letter is its outline drawn twice, the copy a little down and to the right, the corners joined.
Where does the depth go on a 3D bubble r?
For depth, tuck an edge under the arm of the r and run it down the stem.
How long is the arm of a bubble r?
Short: its tip should reach no further right than half the width of an n. A longer arm needs the next letter to keep its distance.
How do you colour a bubble r?
Colour the stem first and the arm out to its tip; the r is small, so one colour is usually enough.
